International Students Orientation

International Pre-Orientation and Orientation Fall 2021

Scripps’ International Pre-Orientation will be held virtually this year, from August 4–7, 2021. In a typical year, we engage each other prior to New Student Programs and Orientation (NSPO). This year, however, we will gather virtually before and in-person afterward from August 27–29, 2021, to continue building community and fostering new relationships!

View the International Pre-Orientation and In-Person Orientation Invitation and Schedule here.

Be sure to register for sessions where multiple times are listed. Attendance is required for each session. We have created these sessions to allow for flexibility in your schedules and to accommodate the different time zones across the world. Throughout your orientation and enrollment, the College, its staff, and student staff are committed to providing you the support and resources to effectively transition to college in the US.

Also note that returning second-year students are encouraged to attend any of the International Pre-Orientation and In-Person sessions that they feel would be helpful to their acclimation to campus.

All international students are required to attend the New Student Programs and Orientation (NSPO), August 15–20, 2021.

For the full orientation schedule, visit the NSPO site here.

Scripps International Student Leaders
Our International Student Leaders are comprised of International Interns, International Ambassadors, and International Community Coordinators. Their primary objectives and goals are to welcome you to the international community at Scripps and The Claremont Colleges, to ensure you have the smoothest transition to campus as possible, and to create a sense of belonging and connection!
