There are multiple opportunities for you to engage with the IDEA initiative. Below are some of the ways equity, justice, and inclusion have been expanded on campus.
CIDE
The Committee on Innovation, Dialogue, and Engagement (CIDE) provides advice and recommendations to develop and support a campus-wide culture of inclusion. Additionally, CIDE develops recommendations for improving College policies and practices that have an impact on equity and access. The committee includes faculty, staff, students, and an alumna.
IDEA Fellowship
The IDEA Fellowship Program provides grants for research, internships, and community-engagement projects designed to advance scholarship and explore topics relevant to and aligned with the College’s Institutional Values and Principles of Community.
Departmental Action Plans
Various offices across campus are hard at work developing Departmental Action Plans, focused on reviewing departmental practices and policies to ensure we continue to create equitable and just spaces across campus. Offices that have developed plans include Denison Library, the Sallie Tiernan Field House, and the LASPA Center. Action plans outcomes can also be supported by funding.
