Scripps College President Lori Bettison-Varga today announces the appointment of Jennifer L. Berklas as the director of human resources, effective October 16. Berklas brings more than 14 years of leadership and human resources experience.
Prior to joining Scripps, Berklas was the manager of human resources service operations for the business management consulting company, Insperity in Diamond Bar. At Insperity, Berklas worked with approximately 2,200 employees through her consulting work with her 130 clients. Berklas worked at Community Commerce Bank in Los Angeles before joining Insperity.
Berklas earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Riverside and a juris doctorate from New York Law School. She also earned her certification in human resources management from the University of California, Los Angeles.
