The reigning conference champion Claremont-Mudd-Scripps swimming and diving teams have had a great deal of success in and out of the pool over the years. The list of accolades continues to grow as both the Stags and the Athenas were recognized as Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) in an announcement on Jan. 27.
The award recognizes teams whose grade-point average totaled 3.0 or higher during the 2015 Fall semester. The men's team compiled a GPA of 3.27, and the women's average was 3.38 during that time period.

For the thirteenth year in a row, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Women's Swim and Dive team are Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) champions. The February 22 victory topped off a perfect season in conference competition for the Athenas.

As a Scripps senior, Ellyn Erving ’14 did it all. She led the women’s Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Track and Field team to a NCAA championship, jumped a personal best at a national meet, completed her senior thesis, made the dean’s list, and earned All-American honors.

The Athenas cross country team finished first at the NCAA West Regional on Saturday and won their second consecutive region title and the 8th in the history of the program.
