Laura Stratton, Director of Admission

Favorite thing about Scripps: Scripps is a place where students can explore their academic interests, which can be very different – like biology and French or studio art and chemistry. The classroom environment is collaborative and supportive, not competitive, and students are encouraged to share their perspectives and actively participate.

Why a women’s college: Equal parts empowering and supportive, a women’s college is a place where students are encouraged to explore their intersecting interests with motivated, driven, and caring peers. Personally, I love the confident and powerful students and colleagues I get to work closely with every day!
