Louise Tench Willard ’97 has been appointed to the position of chief information officer (CIO) and executive vice president of information and technology services at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Willard, who has worked at the San Francisco Fed since 1997, will be the first woman CIO in the bank’s history and will lead the bank’s largest employee team.

The announcement is the latest in several accolades Willard has earned this year: A cross-country and track and field stand-out while at Scripps, Willard was inducted into the Ted Ducey Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Hall of Fame this spring for her accomplishments as a scholar-athlete.
