PART-TIME LECTURER IN FRENCH

F2025/S2026

Scripps College, a women’s liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications for a part-time lecturer in French to teach 2 courses in Fall 2025 and 1-2 courses in Spring 2026.

The Fall 2025 courses are two sections of French 2 (Continued Introductory French) Monday through Thursday (9:00am-9:50am and 10:00am-10:50am).

Ph.D. in French preferred, ABD considered, and college teaching experience (in-person and/or online) required.  Preference will be given to applicants with a commitment to the College’s goal of improving higher education for underrepresented students.

The salary for this position will range from $8,460 to $9,400 per course and will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
