Nathalie Rachlin – French, Margaret McKenzie Distinguished Professorship in Modern Foreign Languages

Professor Rachlin was invited to give a conference presentation on March 11, 2020 at the Columbia University Global Studies Center at Reid Hall, Paris, France. The talk was entiled “Gesturing toward the Demos: Documentary Cinema from Nuit Debout to the Gilets Jaunes.” (Unfortunately, the conference was canceled due to Covid-19.)

 

Her review of Alison J. Murray Levine’s book, Vivre Ici: Space, Place and Experience in Contemporary French Documentary.  (Liverpool: Liverpool UP, 2018. 303 pp.) was published in French Contemporary Civilization, volume 45, No.2, July 2020.
