Scripps Presents: Live Performances with Broadway Luminary Michael Alden
42nd Street and Claremont converge for this captivating revue led by top Broadway producer, Michael Alden.
With some of today’s finest talent, Alden delivers an unforgettable afternoon of music in a salute to his mentor and beloved Claremont teacher, Don F. Fruechte. Featured artists for the evening include distinguished Claremont High theater alums David Lee (Cheers, Frasier), Randy Kovitz (Burn This, Othello), Robert Webb (The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin), Carolina Garcia (Stranger Things, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), and Krista Carson Elhai, vice president of the Educational Theater Association’s (EdTA) national board and former theater director of Claremont High School.
With a career spanning six decades across TV, theater, and film, Alden has produced numerous award-winning shows, including Come From Away (Olivier Award for Best Musical), Disgraced (Pulitzer Prize for Drama), and Bridge & Tunnel (Special Tony Award). He’s a passionate supporter of arts education and is committed to expanding access for students of all ages.
