We hope that your spring semester is going well! We are particularly eager to distribute the February 2017 Newsletter of the First-Generation @ Scripps program. This issue features highlights of our 3rd annual First-Gen student retreat that took place on January 27-28, 2017.
The theme of this year’s retreat was Our Narrative: Empowerment and Affirmations. Throughout the retreat, students explored understanding their own narratives and celebrated personal and academic triumphs. The insights gleaned from the various workshop sessions are reflected in the zines pages that students produced.
