A poem by Lynne Thompson ’72Dirge for Murdered Black Girls, was recently featured in the San Francisco ChronicleThe poem expresses Thompson’s grief for young black women who have been victimized by law enforcementThompson, who is a longtime Scripps College trustee and will serve as chair of the Board beginning in July 2018, received her BA from Scripps and a JD from Southwestern University School of Law. An active member of the Los Angeles literary scene and a Pushcart Prize nominee, her poetry has been widely published and anthologized.
