Inauguration of Scripps College President Lori Bettison-Varga Celebrates the Genius of Women March 27, 2010

CLAREMONT, Calif. (March 26, 2010) — On the last weekend of Women’s History Month, Scripps College commemorates the inauguration of its eighth president, Lori Bettison-Varga, on Saturday, March 27, at 2:30 p.m. The ceremony will take place at Bridges Auditorium in Claremont, California. The event is free and open to the public; for those unable to attend, it will be broadcast live over the Internet from the Scripps College website:

A pre-inauguration President’s Forum “The Genius of Women, Transforming the World” is also open to media. NPR’s Linda Wortheimer will moderate the panel of Scripps alumnae, which begins at 10:30 a.m.
