Tuesday Noon – Lindsay Toczylowski

Tuesday Noon: Lindsay Toczylowski—Inside the Immigrant Defenders Law Center

As a founding member and executive director at the Immigrant Defenders Law Center, Lindsay Toczylowski has helped lead the push for awareness and protection of immigrant rights to a fair trial and due process. What challenges do immigration attorneys in today’s political climate face? How does the “good vs. bad” immigrant narrative affect access to legal representation? Toczylowski, formerly of the Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project and Asylum Access, will discuss the ways the U.S. legal system systematically and unfairly denies basic legal principles to immigrants facing deportation.

This program is presented in partnership with the Office of Public Events and Community Programs.
