What have you done since graduation?
Twenty years in college development, mainly major gifts and grant writing. Currently not employed but volunteer for several local charities doing fundraising.
How do you think majoring in history or taking history classes has mattered to you?
It was a very challenging major, particularly in developing my critical thinking and writing skills.
Do you have any particular memories of faculty or classes that you can share?
Took the majority of my courses with Professor Michael Roth and he was an inspiration and exceedingly thoughtful mentor. It’s too bad that he is no longer at Scripps. (He is currently the President of Wesleyan University in Connecticut.)
