Dean Calvo Dean joined Scripps in August 2015 from Claremont Graduate University (CGU), where he served in various leadership positions in the Office of Finance and Administration since 2009. Dean brings considerable strengths in the areas of strategic planning and project management. His primary areas of responsibility include directing the College’s annual and long-term strategic operating and capital budgets. In addition, Dean’s areas of responsibility include human resources, campus facilities, grounds, dining services, the endowment, and risk and emergency management. |

Binti Harvey Binti joined Scripps in June 2014 from Caltech, where she served as director of institute marketing. Previously she held communications and management positions with the Pasadena and Los Angeles school districts, the cities of Southgate and LA. Her major responsibility areas include public relations, media relations, print and digital communications, and events, toward extending the college’s external reach and influence. |

Charlotte Johnson Previously the dean of Dartmouth College, Charlotte joined the Scripps community in August 2014. Prior to Dartmouth, she was vice president and dean at Colgate University. Her responsibility areas include all residential, campus life and student activities aspects of the college, in support of students’ health, safety and welfare as well as their pursuits of academic and co-curricular goals. |

Denise Nelson Nash ’76 A Scripps alumna and long-time college volunteer, Denise returned to her alma mater in 2013 following a 16-year career at Caltech. Her responsibility areas include planning, coordinating, and implementing Board of Trustees activities; chairing the College’s advisory council on diversity and inclusivity; and serving as a key advisor on institutional policy, procedures, and decision-making. |

Victoria Romero Prior to joining Scripps in 2011, Victoria was associate dean and director of admission at Claremont McKenna College. Previously she served Grinnell College, the University of Nebraska and Whitman College. Her responsibility areas include all aspects of admission and financial aid services, as well as Scripps College Academy, a year-round college-readiness program for high-achieving, first-generation college-bound girls attending under-resourced high schools in the greater Los Angeles area. |
