MLK Commemorative Lecture: Bryant Terry in Conversation

Join the chef, cookbook author, and publisher for a conversation about the intersection of food and activism

For James Beard Award-winning chef, educator, and author Bryant Terry, food is art. His palette not only includes genre-redefining vegan Black soul food recipes (see Vegan Soul Kitchen and Vegetable Kingdom, to name a few), but also public programming as chef-in-residence at the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) in San Francisco, and as publisher of the new Ten Speed Press imprint, 4 Color Books, amplifying diverse voices in the food world. Farming, health, visual art, culture, and the African Diaspora are all on the table when it comes to Terry’s passions. Join him for a wide-ranging conversation on the intersection of food and activism.

This program celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s life and work and is supported in part by the Office of Black Student Affairs and Scripps Presents.

This event will be available as a livestream.
