Bridge Program

Made possible by a generous gift to the College, the Bridge Program offers Scripps alumnae individual career counseling. Career Planning & Resources has partnered with Career Journeys in Pasadena to provide career development services to Scripps alumnae including counseling, assessment and testing, resume and cover letter preparation, job search assistance, and interview techniques. All Scripps College alumnae are eligible to receive individual career development services through the Scripps College Bridge Program, made possible through a generous alumna gift.

Program Guidelines

Bridge Program participants work with Career Journeys, a Pasadena, CA based Career Counseling practice to set and reach their specific career related goals. The Bridge Program will cover up to 4 hours of career counseling service to any Scripps alumna. This may include onsite appointments in Pasadena, CA, email correspondence, or online appointments via Zoom. Please note: funding is limited and services are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Should you choose to continue your work with the Bridge Program beyond the initial 4 hours, you may do so at your own expense; Career Journeys graciously offers a reduced rate for Scripps alumnae.

Services can include a complimentary career-related assessment. Any additional assessments recommended by Career Journeys will be at your own expense.

Appointments* are scheduled on a first-available basis. As Career Journeys also serves outside clients, there may be a short wait. For the most effective use of your time, you may be encouraged to do a preliminary self-assessment before your appointment.

Email Sarah Goldflam to register for your Bridge Program hours and Career Journeys will follow up with you directly with an intake form to get the process started.

*Please note: Due to the nature of the Bridge Program, Scripps College is responsible for all scheduled appointments; anyone who misses an appointment may forfeit their allotted time. We ask you to cancel any appointments within 24-hours of your scheduled time to prevent a time deduction. If you cancel multiple times consecutively, you may be asked to check-in with CP&R before continuing with the Bridge Program.
