Serina Montero ’22

Serina is a Sophomore from Ewing, New Jersey and an intended Politics major and Spanish minor. Aside from academics Serina is a mentor with the Office of Black Student Affairs where she serves as a guide to black first year students from across the 5C’s. Serina is also a barista at the Motley which is a student managed coffee shop on campus. This past summer Serina went to the Dominican Republic on a self-designed research project about Afro-Dominican culture that was funded through a grant from Scripps. In her free time however Serina can be found playing music and hanging out in one of the Scripps courtyards, getting a smoothie at the Motley or dancing with friends.
