I’m Siena and I’m a senior majoring in History with a minor in Spanish. I can’t believe it’s my last year at Scripps! I’ve had a great time so far and I’m looking forward to finishing strong. I hope that I can use my experience to help all of you prospective students make decisions about college. I’m from Half Moon Bay, CA, in the Bay Area. There are lots of people from the Bay Area in Claremont, but for me, Southern California is different enough that it’s been a fun place to go to school. I’m excited to be back and enjoying the nice weather. I love all the outdoor space at Scripps that we can use year-round, so when I’m not in classes I’m often reading on one of the lawns or hanging out in Seal Court. Outside of class and Admissions, I am co-captain of the 5C Women’s Club Volleyball team. I love that I can continue to play my sport and exercise with friends. In general, I think clubs are a really good way to make friends. Not only are you around people with shared passions, but you can also meet people from other colleges, school years, and regularly see them at meetings! I’m thrilled to be back on campus this year and get my senior year off to a good start. I hope our work this year in Admissions can help you, and please reach out with any questions!
Until next time,
