Laurel Schwartz ’15 recently published a blog-post in themighty.com that offers encouragement to chronically ill college students based on her own struggles living with Crohn’s disease. Schwartz, who was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at age nine, writes to encourage others who are facing similar debilitating symptoms and who may encounter social biases based on a lack of understanding about “invisible” diseases.
