In the Media: Sean Flynn Discusses Singapore’s Healthcare Model with Forbes

Sean Flynn, associate professor of economics and chair of the Department of Economics, discussed Singapore’s health care system on the What’s Ahead podcast with Steve Forbes of Forbes. In comparing Singapore’s health care planning with that of the United States, Flynn explained that “most healthcare costs are in the last few years of life. And the only country in the world that has money saved up to pay for the graying of the population and people getting older is Singapore.” Flynn is the author of the book The Cure that Works: How to Have the World’s Best Healthcare—at a Quarter of the Price.
