Scripps Lecturer in Dance Suchi Branfman’s choreographic collaboration with incarcerated men at the California Rehabilitation Center is the subject of a recent article in The Argonaut and a review and interview in LA Dance Chronicle. Branfman worked with men inside the Norco, California, state prison to develop a dance work, SUSTAIN, which was presented at Scripps College and as part of “INSIDE OUTSIDE, Dancing Through Prison Walls” an evening of dance that Branfman curated at Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica. Jess Heaney ’08 co-sponsored the event.
