Weathering the Drought

For the past two decades, Scripps College has adopted a broad range of sustainability initiatives as part of its charge to protect and preserve the environment. Scripps’ commitment to water conservation and sustainability includes implementation of landscaping projects and an upgraded irrigation system. While these actions will result in some changes to the appearance of Scripps’ grounds, the College is committed to preserving the natural beauty of the campus.

Notice of Phone Issues

Intermittent phone system problems began affecting the Claremont Colleges campuses, including Scripps College, on Friday, June 6 and continue. Calls placed to/from the colleges may result in busy signals or they may be dropped. The problem is on the part of our phone service provider, AT&T, which has confirmed that the source is damage to the fiber cabling in the area. The problem is beyond the scope of what CUC/campus technical staff can repair, since it is the provider’s equipment. However, they are monitoring the situation and working to develop a back-up system until AT&T can fully resolve the issue.
