Athenas Volleyball Team Wins Its First NCAA Division III National Title

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Athenas defeated the Wittenberg Tigers in three straight sets to win their first-ever National Championship volleyball title at the NCAA Division III Tournament in Grand Rapids, Mich. on November 18, 2017.

Mackenzie Leake ’15 Wins U.S. Masters Swimming Event in Open Waters

Scripps College alumna Mackenzie Leake '15 has continued to pursue her lifelong love of swimming and recently won the one-mile long event of the U.S. Masters Swimming Sprint Distance Open Water National Championship of 2017, in SeaTac, Wash.

CMS Athletes Send Aid to Those Affected by Hurricane Harvey

Claremont-McKenna-Scripps (CMS) athletes rallied recently to donate and ship more than 400 pieces of clothing to help Houston residents who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. CMS equipment manager Brian Smith said teammates answered the call put out by his fellow equipment colleagues at the University of Houston, who provided an organized avenue for the clothing drive to occur.

CMS Athenas Earn Their Fourth SCIAC Championship

The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women's volleyball team earned the fourth regular season championship in program history with the three set win over Redlands. The Athenas finish the regular season in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a 14-2 record.
