Scripps College was once again named a Fulbright program top-producing school by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Scripps is ranked among the top 25 institutions on the annual list as a research bachelor’s institution, with six Fulbright award winners in the 2017â€“2018 academic year.

In a letter to President Lara Tiedens, Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs Marie Royce wrote that “Scripps College’s place among the Fulbright program’s top-producing institutions clearly demonstrates [its] dedication to preparing America for today’s interconnected world and dynamic global economy.”

The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s flagship international educational exchange program, aimed at promoting mutual understanding between Americans and people of other countries. Since its inception in 1946, the Fulbright Program has provided more than 380,000 participants—chosen for their academic merit and leadership potential—with the opportunity to exchange ideas and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns.
