Browsing rooms are sacred spaces at Scripps College. Every residence hall has one, and each has its own character. They are inspiring environments with ornate wood paneling, stained glass windows, and other details. You’ll also find bookcases filled with volumes for sharing under the Take a Book/Leave a Book policy.
The browsing room in Toll Hall has Corinthian columns, a fresco on the ceiling, and a fireplace; while the one in Gabrielle Jungels-Winkler Hall has a wall made of carved wood and paintings that give it a Renaissance feel.
