Visiting Lecturer in Media Studies

Position Starts: 2019-20

Scripps College, a women’s liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications for a visiting lecturer to teach 4 courses during the 2019-2020 academic year. Teaching responsibilities will include: one Introduction to Game Design course and one Introduction to Media Studies course in the fall 2019, and one intermediate studio course and one intermediate or advanced media history or theory course in the spring 2020.

The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of contemporary digital media, college teaching experience, an MFA or Ph.D. with specialization in Media Studies, and a focus on digital media, including but not limited to gaming, interactive media, and digital art.

Preference will be given to applicants with a commitment to the College’s goal of improving higher education for underrepresented students.
