Visiting Assistant Professor in Spanish, Caribbean, and Latin American Literatures and Cultures

Position Starts: Academic Year 2018-2019

Scripps College, a women’s liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications for a one-year, full-time position for the 2018-2019 academic year. The teaching load is five courses, all taught in Spanish, including lower-division Spanish language courses, and one upper-division course(s) dealing with Spanish, Caribbean and Latin American literatures or cultures. Previous teaching experience and native or near-native fluency required. Advising on senior theses is anticipated. The Department seeks candidates with dynamic, innovative teaching and a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education. Ph.D. preferred; ABD will be considered.
