Visiting Assistant Professor in Psychology, Beginning in Fall 2024

Scripps College, a women’s liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications for the position of full-time Visiting Assistant Professor in Psychology for the 2024-25 academic year. The area of expertise is open; however, the department encourages applications from candidates in educational psychology, industrial-organizational or vocational psychology, personality psychology, or health psychology. The teaching load is five courses for the academic year in addition to advising senior theses. The candidate will teach three courses in Fall 2024 (two sections of introductory psychology and one in candidate’s area of expertise) and two courses in Spring 2025 (one section of introductory psychology and one in the candidate’s area of expertise). Evidence of successful teaching experience is required; Ph.D. preferred.
