Scripps College, a women’s liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications for the Fletcher Jones Foundation Scholar in Computation to begin in the 2019-20 academic year in the fields of art conservation, math, media studies, or philosophy. The teaching load is four courses annually plus senior thesis advising. Courses taught will include introductory level computer science and upper-division classes within their discipline that are also intended to count towards the computer science major housed at the Claremont Colleges. This position is non-tenure track and is limited to six years. Ph.D. and/or M.F.A., teaching experience, and scholarly production are required. Preference will be given to applicants with a commitment to the College’s goal of improving higher education for underrepresented students.
