Jennifer Friedlander is the Edgar E. and Elizabeth S. Pankey Professor of Media Studies and Assistant Professor of Art History at Pomona College. She is the author of Moving Pictures: Where the Police, the Press, and the Art Image Meet (Sheffield Hallam University Press 1998) and Feminine Look: Sexuation, Spectatorship, Subversion (SUNY Press 2008). Her research engages feminist and psychoanalytic theories of the visual.
