Louise Antony is a renown philosopher of mind, language, and epistemology, and a pioneering force in feminist philosophy and epistemology. She is the Editor (with Charlotte E. Witt) of A Mind of One’s Own: Feminist Essays on Reason and Objectivity (1993, updated 2002); (with Norbert Hornstein) Chomsky and His Critics (2003); and Philosophers Without God: Meditations on Atheism and the Secular Life (2007). She has written many important papers and essays, including a 2013 essay for The New York Times “The Stone.” Professor Antony is a co-director of the Mentoring Program for Early-Career Women in Philosophy and has served as the president of the American Philosophical Association, Eastern Division. Professor Antony received her BA from Syracuse University in 1975 and her PhD. from Harvard University in 1982.
