“Fabulous Flowers and Precious Plants in Ming-Qing Chinese Arts”

In conjunction with the art history seminar on “The Arts of Late Imperial China”
this exhibition features floral and landscape imagery in a variety of media, including paintings, textiles, ceramics and cloisonné. Design motifs will be explored for their significances, and particular associations will be investigated with regards to social class, regional differences and ethnic interpretations.
