W.M. Keck Science Department
A strong, innovative, and interdisciplinary program in the natural sciences
By emphasizing critical thinking as well as a deep commitment to high-quality undergraduate education, selective liberal arts colleges such as Scripps produce a large share of our nation’s distinguished scientists.
The W.M. Keck Science Department offers a strong, innovative, and interdisciplinary program in the natural sciences. As members of The Claremont Colleges consortium, Scripps College, Claremont McKenna College, and Pitzer College provide far greater opportunities in science than they offer alone. In fact, the W. M. Keck Science Department is the largest academic department in the entire Consortium.
The W.M. Keck Science Department features modern laboratories, state-of-the-art instrumentation, and advanced computer facilities. Students have the opportunity to study with faculty who have training and research interests in all the major areas of the biology, chemistry, and physics.
