He has received fellowships from the Fulbright Foundation, the Mellon Foundation, and the Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst (DAAD), and was a member at the American School of Classical Studies in Athens. In 2007 he received a Mary W. Johnson Faculty Achievement Award at Scripps College, and in 2008 he was awarded a Graves Award for Outstanding Accomplishment in Actual Teaching in the Humanities (ACLS).

Roselli has recently completed a book manuscript entitled Spectators as Producers: The Theater Audience of Classical Athens, which analyzes the evidence for the composition of the theater audience and the role of spectators in dramatic production. He is also finishing a second book project, Tragic Self-Sacrifice: Female Characters and Social Struggle in Athenian Culture, which situates the tragic role of self-sacrifice in the context of the dynamic social and political changes in fifth-century Athens. His next project, Athens at Work: The Representation of Labor and Laborers in Athenian Art and Drama, will explore the role of agricultural and urban laborers in Athenian culture. In addition to teaching all levels of Greek and Latin, he offers such courses as Greek Civilization, Greek Tragedy, Ancient Comedy, Ancient Theater Production, and the Ancient World in Film. He also regularly contributes to the Core Program.
